Cardiac Troponin-I Assay

Troponin assays are very sensitive and specific indicators of damage to the heart muscle. They are measured in the blood to differentiate between unstable angina and a heart attack (myocardial infarction) in patients who exhibit chest pain. A patient who had suffered from a myocardial infarction would have an area of damaged heart muscle and so would have elevated cardiac troponin levels in the blood. Nanōmix is developing a POC cardiac troponin assay that has demonstrated sensitivity equivalent to central lab systems and superior to other POC platform technologies on the market today. This is an example of the many types of biomolecule assays possible with the company’s Sensation technology which is accessible for co-development with prospective collaborators.
