Supply Chain Manager

Nanomix is a leader in the development of mobile, affordable point-of-care diagnostics. We offer a handheld testing platform and assays that provide rapid, accurate, quantitative information for use in settings where time-to-diagnosis is critical to clinical decision-making and improved patient care. Our goal is to expand access to quality health care by bringing diagnostics to the point of initial patient interaction, whether in the hospital or in pre-hospital, remote, or alternative settings.

This position is for an experienced engineer who will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, purchasing processes, and inventory status and requirements; monitoring order status and deliver timelines; processing receiving documentation for use in Accounts Payable; coordinating supply requirements with Assay Development, and providing input and coordinating with Finance on vendor pricing, terms and payments.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

  • Monitor inventory levels and production needs to determine purchasing requirements
  • Manage supplier relationships
  • Place purchase orders including pricing and terms and conditions; routes for approvals per approval guidelines
  • Monitor inventory record-keeping assuring accurate quantities of on-hand materials
  • Track and provide visibility to operations management on status of orders; highlight supplier delays that may impact production plans
  • Monitor receiving of inventory to close out POs and provide information to accounting required to support payment of vendor invoices
  • Provide input to the approved supplier list and coordinate vendor quality agreements, interfacing with the Quality department
  • Provide feedback to vendors on quality of incoming materials and recommend any necessary material returns or credits needed, interfacing with Finance on payment adjustments
  • Provide reporting on inventory and purchasing status for critical components
  • Participate in software system implementation for purchasing and inventory management

Minimum Required Experience

  • Experience in manufacturing environment supply chain management
  • Experience in negotiating and managing supplier purchasing activities
  • Minimum of 5 years of supply chain experience in FDA regulated industries
  • Familiarity with automated inventory and purchasing management systems

Minimum Required Education:

  • BS or equivalent

Minimum Required Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, working hands-on with limited resources in a dynamic start-up environment
